Good Word - Words With Friends Word Checker and Dictionary App Reviews

While waiting for my NEXT turn, I use this for planning. Thats the beauty of this app-you learn right away if a word is acceptable, which is much better than using one of the online dictionaries. Its definitely worth buying if you are serious about playing WWF.

This app is much better after the latest update. I used to hate the annoying blink after starting up. Its gone and the app is much faster as well.

Word crack. Be prepared to be addicted. Charlie Sheen should try this game.

I love Good Word. I use it to see whether a word will be accepted, especially if I want to make a word perpendicular to it e.g if void is on the board I would confirm that avoid is accepted before exploring all the words I can make that would put the a in the right spot. Or I use it after a word is accepted to see what it means (e.g. ted is spread out for drying?). My only complaint is that it sometimes says words are not accepted when they are (e.g. di fi, gi)

Love it! Love that it also gives the meaning of the words. I put 4 stars because on rare occasions it is wrong with wether a word is acceptable or not.

Use it all the time. Love to see it expanded! Built my own DB so I can write custom SQL queries on the word list. Thx for a great lil app.

Good Words helped me come up with some great words to add interest to my Words With Friends games.

Quicker to check words than having to switch back and forth between pages in Lexeme. Like that you get a definition when the word is correct.

Great 4 WWF & for other stuff, quick & simple

Need an iPad version....useful and elegantly simple in design (for iPhone) - no wasted motion. So long as the dictionary is keep current and the app reflects the game (WWF) than all is well.

This app is very well done, very clean looking and very fast. Having definitions is great. I just got it today to use in planning my next word but within the first hour of use, Words With Friends accepted a word that Good Word said was not valid. In the next few days two words were played against me that Good Words didnt accept. Words that Good Word has rejected that WWF has accepted so far: hajib, mirid, bidi UPDATE: The missing words were added with the 2.0 update. I havent found any more missing words.

Its very handy and live the definitions. I wish it had a list of all acceptable 2-letter words like Scrabble does.

Great little app for when youre stuck at the end of the game.
